Responsible Growth

In a town like Alpine, where families stay rooted and new neighbors arrive for the same sense of belonging, it’s no surprise that growth continues. But the real issue isn’t whether change comes—it’s making sure we have a voice in shaping it.

The Utah State Legislature is already considering proposals that would require cities to accept more development, with or without local input. If we don’t take the lead in creating a thoughtful, balanced plan for Alpine’s future, those decisions may be made for us.

I believe Alpine residents—not state lawmakers—should decide how our city evolves. That means working together to create a plan that reflects our priorities: protecting what makes Alpine special, ensuring responsible development, and making sure our infrastructure keeps pace. With the right approach, we can guide growth in a way that strengthens our community without sacrificing the reasons we all love living here.
