Strengthening our Community

The families who first settled Alpine understood the importance of coming together. Our ancestors built the Fort not only for protection but for unity—they knew that living side by side made them stronger and better prepared to face challenges.

Today, that same foundation matters more than ever. Towns like ours thrive when people have opportunities to work together, share experiences, and build relationships beyond their own front doors. Across Utah, small communities have partnered with local businesses, nonprofits, and residents to create gathering spaces, new amenities, and programs that bring people together—not just once in a while, but all year long.

The recent Wellbeing Survey by Utah State University made it clear: Alpine residents want to feel more connected to each other. We want to strengthen our city’s sense of unity, expand opportunities to interact, and create lasting spaces where those relationships can grow.

We don’t have to wait for outside solutions. Alpine has always been a place where neighbors work together to meet the needs of the community—and I believe we can do that again.
